CURRENCY SYSTEM
Earning Currency in the server
There are going to be multiple ways that a player can earn currency on the server, whether that be by traditional work, sparring, events, or combat. It's all going to depend on the player and what they are doing in order to earn currency. There will be a weekly stipend of 100 Copper and that will be rewarded to everyone that is active on the server. This is going to be paid out every week.
There is a currency breakdown on the server that will be broken down into multiple parts. The continent of Ebhoran has 1 fully established and thriving trade city that has a mint and produces its own coinage. That is Avalan, the merchant city at the center of Ebhoran. Their currency is based on minted coins made from precious metals.

The way the exchange rate will go is based as a 1 for 1 on the level of the gem or coin. So for example 1 mythril would equal 1 amethyst and so on.
-
Tin - The Lowest Form of Currency in Avalon (Trades 1 to 1 with Opal)
-
Copper - Need 100 Tin to equal 1
-
Silver - Need 100 copper to make a 1 silver
-
Gold - Need 100 Silver to make 1 Gold
-
Platinum - Need 100 gold to make 1 platinum
-
Mythril - Need 100 Platinum to make 1 Mythril
-
Adamantine - Need 100 Mythril to make 1 Adamantine
Other locations on the server will use more of a barter system and precious gemstone since they do not have a mint or produce their own currencies. So if you’re not in Avalon this is the economy that you will use instead.
-
Opal - The lowest gemstone and most easily found (Trades 1 to 1 with Tin Coins)
-
Snowflake Obsidian - Need 100 Opal to equal 1
-
Peridot - Need 100 Snowflake Obsidian to equal 1
-
Amber - Need 100 Peridot to equal 1
-
Saphire, Ruby, Emeralds - Need 100 Amber to equal 1
-
Amethyst - Need 100 S, R, or E to equal 1
-
Pearls - Need 100 Amethyst to equal 1

Dragon Stones, Blood Stones, Moon Stones - It will cost either 100 pearls or 100 Adamantine coins to purchase just one of these precious stones. They can be earned in events and such as well. These are not just a currency in the realm, but a status symbol as well. They can be used as simple currency, imbued with enchantments, given as a wedding dowry, used during alliances and other such government decisions, or simply hoarded for wealth.

Participating in Events
The server is going to host events that will happen every so often that will be server wide. To earn the currency for these events, you have to participate in the whole event, not just a part of the event. The currency that you earn from these events is subject to what the event is, how the storyteller wishes to award the currency, and how long the event lasts.

Monster Bouts
Fighting random encounters on the server will reward currency depending on what the creature is carrying on them at the time of their defeat. Creatures like animals and such won't be carrying any currency on them at all, but humanoid or other creatures can and will most of the time, have some sort of currency on them. So be sure to search when you're finished with your encounter.

Bounty Board
The bounty board that will be in almost all taverns across the realm will have a currency value attached to them. Upon successful completion of the bounty, you can collect your reward. The amount will be determined by the storyteller that posts the bounty on the board. Or the player that can afford to hire someone.

Sparring
Betting on spars is permitted as long as there is a record from a staff member or judge for the betting. Odds will be created depending on the Character, not the player. All odds will be determined by a server lead and the judge hosting the spar.

Arena Gladiators
You can apply to be a gladiator at the arena and will get an announcement when we’re going to do the arena events, but be warned, there is a chance that your character can perish if it’s not stated before you fight. If you apply and join the arena as a gladiator, you are automatically consenting to the possibility that your character can perish in battle if it’s not ordained to be a NON-Death fight. So may the dice and your stats be worth it and ever be in your favor.
Gladiators will be paid well in both currency and experience points depending on how well they do in the arena and it increases from there depending on what’s in the monster manuals.

Betting in the Arena
When gladiators enter the arena and we do an event for them, players will get to bed on the gladiators that are battling. The odds will depend on the levels and tiers that the opponents will be facing off against.
So if a level 20 character challenges a level 45 character, then the betting odds would give the level 20 character a 25 to 1 betting odds. If the level 20 character beats the level 45 character, then anyone that bet on the level 20 character would get 25x their bet back in currency for the server.
The Arena will have an event two times a month where 2 NPC’s or Player Characters will enter the arena to do battle. Only 1 will come out victorious.
